The long-serving Hot Chocolate frontman revisits “You Sexy Thing” and “Every 1’s a Winner”. This is a live catalogue show, not the claim that the original band lineup is on stage. MEMO’s header says AEST, but Melbourne is on AEDT this week.

Faye Bendrups, Anthony Schulz and Guillermo Anad bring voice, accordion and viola to lesser-heard Piazzolla, not just the familiar greatest hits. The small-group format is the point.

Two familiar Australian songbooks in a theatre with a published end time. This is Friday’s Karralyka concert, not the separate Arcobar engagement later in November.

Wooshka at Musicland

Michelle Morrison fronts our seven-piece Adele tribute in an intimate dinner setting. Arcobar currently labels the event “Last Tickets!”; take that as its wording, not a measured quantity or a promise of a seat.

Choral jazz, show tunes and small-group work in a cabaret-style hall with tables. It is a good Saturday alternative when a tribute production feels too loud.

Thirty Two Bars at Bennetts Lane

A musician’s note

The most useful split this week is actual stage time versus a ticket-page arrival time. The 7 pm MEMO headings often mean doors; Musicland offers dinner well before the show; free entry at one room can have a cutoff.
